The Director of Product Marketing is responsible for building a world-class product marketing organization, taking ownership of the customer and field-facing product marketing function. This includes defining core customer and buyer personas; developing company and product messaging and positioning; field sales and partner enablement; product evangelism; competitive analysis; product launches; thought leadership and lead generation content, presentations and other collateral.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and manage the new product/feature launch process so that we have a disciplined process for promoting products in the market and measuring our success.
  • Embed deeply with the Product team to collaborate in every stage, from ideation through post-launch.
  • Work closely with Sales and Customer Success teams to understand their problems so that marketing can address them.
  • Train customer-facing teams on messaging, product features, and best practices
  • Be the “chief product storyteller,” internally and externally.
  • Enable customer-facing teams to be evangelists on social - and be one yourself.
  • Become an in-house product expert, both for training credibility and to provide alpha feedback on new features.
  • Enable the Sales, Customer Success and partner teams with slides, presentations, collateral, competitive analyses, product videos, demos, insights, and training. You won't just create these - you'll also work within those teams to drive adoption and usage.
  • Create and run a program to inform customers about value (for example, a monthly product update to customers, as well as in-product messaging and other channels) to drive adoption, usage, and perceived value.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5-7 years of product marketing experience in the contact center market
  • Knowledge of product marketing frameworks and launch processes
  • Experience working closely with product, sales, partner and customer teams
  • Expertise in competitive analysis
  • Exceptionally strong writing skills; when you write, you persuade
  • Excellent speaking and presentation skills
  • Experience marketing SaaS products
  • Demonstrated cross-functional leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks; proven strong organizational skills in a high-growth environment
  • Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese is a plus
