The Senior Revenue Accountant will be responsible for global accounting of revenue including analyzing revenue trends, revenue reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, and month/quarter-end closing tasks. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate recording and reporting of revenue and will engage in strategic initiatives and projects cross-functionally to support the significant growth and scalability of the company. The ideal candidate will be an excellent multitasker with exceptional communication and time management skills, with a strong proficiency in Accounting principles, specifically ASC 606 revenue recognition, and an affinity for process improvement within a fast-paced organization.






  • Responsible for performing a detailed review of customer contracts to ensure consistent application of revenue recognition policies and determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment in accordance with ASC 606
  • Prepare and/or review supporting revenue schedules under ASC 606 to appropriately reflect the contracts in the accounting system
  • Maintain revenue recognition policy; research and prepare technical accounting memos as required.
  • Perform month-end close duties, including preparing journal entries, preparing account reconciliations, and reviewing revenue transactions.
  • Interact with sales, legal, customer success, and revenue operations departments in completing contracts and assessing contract terms and conditions for optimal billing and revenue recognition
  • Maintain and reconcile all AR and revenue-related accounts (AR, unbilled AR, AR reserves, revenue, and deferred revenue) and assist with monthly flux analysis
  • Assist with process and system redesign and implementations and propose automated improvements to streamline processes
  • Interface with external auditors, as needed, specifically around revenue recognition
  • Monitor and assist with reporting on relevant KPIs and trends impacting key business objectives specifically related to AR and revenue.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of cross-functional business process improvements and department efficiencies.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 4 - 7 years experience in an accounting/finance role
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and/or IFRS
  • Strong working knowledge of ASC606 revenue recognition standards required
  • Multi-currency accounting exposure preferred
  • CPA preferred
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and respond to changing business needs
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight month-end deadlines
  • Well-organized and proactive
  • Big 4 experience is a plus
  • Technology experience, specifically SaaS required
